1) Her real name is Ashely Frangipane.
2) After her career started, she used her earnings to put her brother through college.
3) She was originally born in New Jersey on September 29th, 1994.
4) She identifies as bisexual.
5) She is mixed race, her mother is white and her father is African American.
6) Her name Halsey was inspired by a street sign she saw after her first concert on the subway.
7) In her last year of college, she received a scholarship to major in fine arts, but declined because she couldn't afford some of the education fees.
8) Her first EP was called Room 93.
9) Her first album produced with Astralwerks was named Badlands.
10) Badlands album was a reference to her state of mind at the time, to give a physical place as a metaphor for a lonely mind.
11) She has a tattoo on her arm that is a matchstick, and she said that she'll out a flame around it when she reaches her full potential.
12) She did a collaboration wit the band The Chainsmokers called Closer.
13) Closer stayed at the top of the charts for 12 weeks, thus making it her most popular song.
14) She has also done a collaboration with Justin Bieber called The Feeling.
15) She has performed on MTV Awards twice.
16) During her Billboard performance, she said she gave her most angry performance because she was going through a miscarriage and was allowed to leave the performance.
17) Her most memorable performance was at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon.
